How to prepare for an eyebrow tattoo?
At Pivy's Clinic, we offer to every-client a Free Cosmetic Tattoo Consultation 1 on 1 with our Master Tattoo Artist. Making sure the procedure is safe and suitable for you. However, there are a few preparation steps we have included:
1. It is recommended to eat something before your appointment to make sure your blood sugar levels stay stable during the procedure.
2. Avoid alcohol for 24 hrs before your appointment. Alcohol can thin the blood, which can cause the skin to be hypersensitive and bleed easily.
3. Avoid blood thinning medications for 72 hrs before your appointment. This includes ibuprofen, aspirin and fish oil tablets. We also need to consult your doctor if this is an issue and we do need a certificate from your Dr.
4. Make sure your face is not sunburnt.
5. If considering Botox, it is best to have your brow tattooing done first. If having Botox before your treatment, you need to wait at least 2 weeks before your cosmetic-tattoo appointment.
6. If you have been taking acne medications such as Accutane or Retin-A within the last year you have an altered skin condition that will not heal well after the procedure. It’s very important that you wait a year before tattooing the skin.
7. Get your DR to prescribe an anesthetic that is suitable for you.
Does eyebrow tattoo hurt?
Most people are quite nervous of the pain but pleasantly surprised that it is more of an irritation/annoying tickle for the first minutes.
We do recommend clients to bring their own anaesthetic to make sure they feel the most comfortable throughout the procedure.
The tattoo machine itself is tiny – not much larger than a pen. And the needles are smaller and finer than those used in traditional body tattooing, and cosmetic tattoos do not penetrate as deeply as body tattoo.
Which brow tattoo is best?
This is all depending on how you would like your eyebrow to turn out. We currently offer the three latest eyebrow tattoo look, that are:
1. Hair That Suit You: this technique aka Microblading, is suitable for someone who would like a natural beautifully defined eyebrow. By creating individual hair strokes that match your natural brow hair.
2. Creative Touch Brows: is a combination of two of semi-permanent techniques. Microblading hair strokes ate placed with a manual tool around the buld of the bow to give the brow a natural look and the misty powder effect is applied to the body of the brow using a permanent makeup device to give the brow its fullness.
3. Eyen-vy Your Brows: is an ombré powdered effect catered to your personal reference. The results are long lasting and works with most skin types. The "pixels' are drawn in without appearing denser and darker than your natural eyebrow hair. This is the art of shading.
Can eyebrow tattoo be removed?
Yes, eyebrow tattoo can be removed by two ways:
1. Pigment lighten solution, this technique is similar to "skin-needling" but using completely different needle cartridges to infusion pigment lighten solution into the skin.
2. Laser tattoo removal process begins when a laser emits a pulse of light that is absorbed into certain colours of ink. The laser light penetrates the skin at high speed (billionths of a second) that produces a shock wave effect that disperses the ink particles into smaller pieces. The body then identifies these particles as something that shouldn't be there and attacks and removes these via the body's immune system.
The both methods depending on how dark the pigment and the depth of your eyebrow tattoo that might require more or less removal sessions.
Can eyebrow tattoo be corrected?
In most cases, they can. If the eyebrow tattoo is not too badly shaped. We can reshape them such that thin eyebrows can easily make them thicker.
And unnatural colours can be reworked and brought back to a natural look with the use of corrective pigments.
Although, in some cases we have to remove the current tattoo first. By using removal solutions or/and laser removal to remove old pigment. And start over again with a new tattoo.
